Elmira, NY- The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that the team continues to take shape with the additions of four more. Three forwards and a defenseman that will attend the Ottawa Senators (NHL) training camp are the newest additions. Guillaume Lepine, Moises Gutierrez, Joseph Ori and Topher Scott have all agreed to terms.

This years Ottawa Senators training camp will feature a pack of Jackals including newly added defenseman Guillaume Lepine. The native of Montreal, Quebec will join Chris St. Croix, Kevin Desfosses, Brandon Roach and former Jackals Chaz Johnson in Ottawa. Lepine has spent the past four season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), were he has led his team in penalty minutes for the past three seasons. Last season the 6'4'' 220 pound blue liner added 19 points to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies point total while racking up 146 penalty minutes.

"Guillaume is an excellent skater for a big man, he makes a great first pass." Jackals Head Coach Steve Martinson said.

Forward Moises Gutierrez will join the Jackals after spending last season with the Houston Aeros of the AHL and the ECHL's Texas Wildcatters. Selected 164th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft, Gutierrez tallied nine goals and added 16 assists while racking up 75 minutes in penalties in 42 games for the Wildcatters. The 6'4'' 230 pound native of Anchorage, Alaska is still under contract with the Aeros but will open up the season with Elmira. Also opening up the season with Elmira is forward Joseph Ori. The Niles, Illinois product has spent the last two seasons with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the CHL. Over the course of 127 games, Ori has compiled 46 goals and 62 assists for 108 points in regular season play. The 6' 190 pounder is also a proven playoff player. In his past two seasons he has totaled 13 points in 15 post season games.

Martinson is looking forward to seing what kind of numbers these two forwards can produce. "Moises is a big winger that has a great scorning touch," Martinson stated. "Joe is a gritty player that has great speed. He has performed very well for his team in the playoffs."

The Jackals will also bring back Cornell captain and standout Topher Scott. Last season Scott joined the Jackals club for seven games after the conclusion of the NCAA season. In those seven games the 5'6'' 160 pound forward netted four points. During his tenure at Cornell, the Buffalo Grove, Illinois native played in 137 games, accumulating 107 points.

"Topher is another excellent passer with great vision and hockey sense." Martinson added.

Don't miss out on any of this years action. Jackals game tickets are on sale now. The Jackals open up the pre-season on Thursday, October 9th with a match up against the Reading Royals. Puck drops at 7:05 PM at First Arena. The following two nights, the 10th and 11th, the Jackals host the Trenton Devils at 7:35 PM at First Arena.

The Jackals open the regular season on Friday, October 17th against the Reading Royals at 7:35 PM. Join the fun outside of First Arena for the Jackals block party at 5:00 PM and get ready for an excellent pre-game show!
