Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that they have acquired non-import defensive lineman Alain Kashama from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for a conditional draft pick in the CFL Canadian Draft.
"We've been looking at getting players who can help our team get more pressure up front and we feel that Alain is very capable of helping us do that," said general manager Bob O'Billovich. "He's a very good pass rusher off the edge with great size and as a non-import he gives our team some great options and flexibility."
Kashama, a 6-4, 270-pound native of Montreal, Quebec led the Alouettes last season with eight sacks and added 29 tackles and two special teams tackles. Prior to joining the Als, Kashama spent time in the NFL with both the Chicago Bears (2004) and Seattle Seahawks (2005).
