
New Promotions Planned for the Final Regular Season Home Games of 2008

JOLIET, IL-The Joliet JackHammers return home for their final regular season home stand this Labor Day weekend (Friday, August 29-Sunday, August 31) with games against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. The JackHammers will host two fireworks nights as well as offering fans plenty of ticket and food specials and giving away tons of cool stuff the entire weekend! Families with students that have un-used Jammer's Book Buddies Vouchers for the 2007-2008 school year can use their vouchers for lawn seats to any game throughout the weekend. As always, box-seat upgrades are available for just five dol lars! Fans can book their tickets by calling (815) 726-2255 or by heading online to www.jackhammerbaseball.com. This could be your final chance to see JackHammers baseball in 2008!
"This is going to be a great weekend at the ballpark to close out the summer," says VP/GM Kelly Sufka. "From Friday's all out Parrothead night, including a Pig Roast, to Everything Chicago on Saturday with the Bucket Boys and Fan Appreciation Night to close things out, this is going to be the end of the summer blow-out all JackHammer fans are looking for!"
The JackHammers are pleased to announce the Jammer's Backyard BBQ ticket special. For any game over the weekend, $15.00 gets fans a box-seat ticket to the game and a meal at the Jammer's Backyard BBQ grill beyond the left field wall. The meal gives you the choice of chicken, pulled pork or a steak sandwich and the option of selecting two side items. You can also upgrade at the grill Friday night for $1.25 to include the Pig Roast.
On Friday, August 29, the JackHammers take on the Winnipeg Goldeyes at 7:05 p.m. The JackHammers will put on a fireworks show after the game and host the annual Jack Clark Bender Leukemia Foundation Parrothead Night. The JackHammers will wear special jerseys on the field that will be auctioned off following the game. All proceeds will benefit the foundation's fight against children's cancer. The JackHammers will also hold the best-dressed Parrothead contest and plenty of island music. To top things off, there will also be an awesome pig-roast beyond the left field wall with plates going for just $10.00.
Saturday, August 30 the JackHammers and Goldeyes play at 7:05 p.m. The JackHammers will host a special post-game running of the bases for all kids in attendance. It's also a special "Everything Chicago" celebration with great raffles through out the game for Chicago landmarks including Second City, Gibsons, Harry Carey's, Giordanno's, the Brookfield Zoo, two Chicago City Passes good for the Shedd, the Field Museum and 4 other Chicago location=2 0and a Bulls and Blackhawks jersey. The JackHammers will also giveaway hats to the first one thousand fans at the game courtesy of the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Chevy Dealers.
On Sunday, August 31, the JackHammers finish their regular season with a 5:05 p.m. game against the Winnipeg Goldeyes. It's Fan Appreciation Night with special giveaways during and after the game. The JackHammers will also host fireworks after the game and have autographs on the field with JackHammers players and coaches for the final time in 2008!
