Mobile BayBears News Release
MOBILE, Ala. - In the wake of today's news that a Bigfoot was found in the woods of North Georgia, there was yet another sighting of the hairy, half-man, half-ape at Hank Aaron Stadium in the eighth inning of Friday's contest with the Mississippi Braves.
It was business as usual in Mobile on Friday night until a dark, furry creature appeared from beyond the right field wall and began galloping around the warning track with seemingly no purpose, although he did manage to swipe a Braves' jersey during his track from the Georgia woods.
"It was terrifying," said legendary BayBear fan, Clarence "The Dancin' Man." "But then Teddy saved the day."
BayBears mascot Teddy Bear, fearful of nothing and no one, took it upon himself to chase down the sasquatch and club him unmercifully until he retreated back into the freezer and grainy, unreliable photos that made him famous.
BayBears management had no comment on the matter other than to say it was "isolated," and that future sasquatch sightings at "The Hank" will be handled by the proper authorities.
It didn't stop the BayBears though from announcing that all Bigfoots, or is it Bigfeet, will be allowed into Hank Aaron Stadium for free on Saturday when the BayBears close out their series with Mississippi.
