Community Foundation Weekend and Earthquake Awareness Day Highlight Six-Game Set

Rancho Cucamonga, CA- The Rancho Cucamonga Quakes return to the Epicenter for a six-game homestand starting Friday, August 1st against the Lancaster JetHawks. The Quakes and JetHawks will meet for three games during "Quakes Community Foundation Weekend" from August 1st-3rd, before the Inland Empire 66ers travel to Rancho for a three-game set of their own on August 5th-7th.

Friday is "Angels Appreciation Day" at the Epicenter. The Quakes will be wearing Angels' red and fans are encouraged to wear red as well to show their Angels spirit! First pitch vs. Lancaster is scheduled for 7:05 PM. Gates will open at 6:05 PM., and features an Angels Noodle Giveaway to the first 1,500 fans through the gates. At the conclusion of the game, a Dale & Thomas Popcorn Exit Sample will be given out as fans leave the ballpark.

Saturday's game against the JetHawks with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. will definitely have a "Beach" atmosphere, as it is Cucamonga Surfers Night. The Quakes will wear special jerseys and hats with the logo of the 1999 California Fall league team that played in the Epicenter. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game with all proceeds benefitting the Quakes Community Foundation. Gates open at 6:05 PM. Following the game, there will be a spectacular Fireworks show lighting up the Rancho Cucamonga sky.

Sunday's game vs. Lancaster will begin at 5:05 PM. Gates for Sunday's game open at 4:05 PM., and features a Back to School "Cinch Sak" Giveaway to the first 1,000 kids 12 & under. "Kids Sundays" are presented by Nestle and Radio Disney 1290. After the game, all kids 12 and under can Run The Bases! On Sunday Nestle offers a "Nestle Family Discount", which is a buy one club ticket and get one club ticket free, if you bring in a Nestle Ice Cream box top including the UPC bar code. This offer is good for up to 4 free tickets per person with the purchase of 4 tickets.

Tuesday's series opener against the 66ers is "Earthquake Awareness Day" with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Gates will open at a special time of 5:40 PM. The Quakes will sell "Fault Zone" tickets in the right field café, as well as Club tickets for the low price of $5.40. Earthquake information and safety tips will be available throughout the game. Also, residents of Chino Hills, the epicenter for the 5.4 magnitude trembler on July 29th, will be admitted free with proof of residency. Tuesday is also "Taco Tuesday" presented by Poco Loco and KOLA 99.9. Fans can enjoy $1.00 Poco Loco tacos all game long in the right field café. The Epicenter will also host the 2008 Principal Financial Group Family Fun Fest in the parking lot on this date.

Wednesday, August 6th is "Wienie Wednesday" presented by Hebrew National and KFRG 95.1. Gates open at 6:05PM, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM. Hot dogs will be available for only $1! August 6th is also "Bark in the Ballpark." Fans can buy a pet pass for only $3 and bring "man's best friend" to the game with them. This promotion will benefit the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care & Adoption Center, with a generous portion of each person and pet ticket being donated to the Rancho Cucamonga Animal Center. The Quakes will be hosting an Inland Empire Chamber Mixer before the game, where one can get a ticket, appetizers, and the chance to network for only $12.

"Thirsty Thursday" presented by Slumpbuster Energy Drink and KCAL 96.7 returns with a 7:05 PM start on August 7th. Gates will open at 6:05 PM. 12 ounce domestic draft beers and fountain sodas will be just one dollar through the fifth inning. Big Mark's Sportszone and Pizzeria located in the right field café will also offer 50 cent wings all night.
