
Indians Return To Victory Field On Friday

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Indians open a nine-game, 10-day homestand on Friday when the Lousiville Bats come to Victory Field for an Independence Day contest at 6 p.m. The stretch continues July 6-13 as the Tribe entertains the Columbus Clippers (July 6-9) and Toledo Mud Hens (July 10-13).
Fri., July 4 -- Louisville @ 6:00 p.m. * Independence Day Fireworks -- Celebrate the Fourth of July at Victory Field. Enjoy nine innings of baseball, and two post-game fireworks spectaculars. * American Flag Giveaway -- The first 10,000 fans will receive a hand-held American Flag. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. * Player of the Month -- Right-hander Jimmy Barthmaier will be honored as the Tribe's June Player of the Month. He will receive a custom-made Indians watch courtesy of Windsor Jewelers.
Sun., July 6 -- Columbus @ 5:00 p.m. * Visor Cap Giveaway -- It's another Souvenir Sunday at Victory Field as the first 4,000 fans receive an Indians Visor Cap courtesy of Pepsi. Gates open at 3:30 p.m. * IHOP's Discover America Road Tour -- The Discover America Road Tour will be visiting Victory Field to celebrate IHOP's 50th Birthday. Participate in fun activities at the ballpark and receive coupons redeemable at your favorite IHOP. Be sure to also visit the Discover America Sweepstakes on-line at www.IHOP.com. * Knot Hole Run -- Members of the Community Health/WISH-TV Knot Hole Club are invited to run the bases after the game.
Mon., July 7 -- Columbus @ 7:00 p.m. * Monday Dollar Menu -- Hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, Cracker Jack and potato chips will be available for just $1 each. * IHOP's Discover America Road Tour -- The Discover America Road Tour will be visiting Victory Field to celebrate IHOP's 50th Birthday. Participate in fun activities at the ballpark and receive coupons redeemable at your favorite IHOP. Be sure to also visit the Discover America Sweepstakes on-line at www.IHOP.com.
Tues., July 8 -- Columbus @ 7:00 p.m. * Qdoba 2-for-1 Tuesday -- 2-for-1 coupons are available at participating Qdoba Mexican Grill locations for each Tuesday night game at Victory Field.
Wed., July 9 -- Columbus @ 2:00 p.m. * Business Day Game -- Enjoy an afternoon away from the office with clients, co-workers, or friends. * Charity Hair Cuts -- Great Clips Hair Stylists will be on the concourse giving hair cuts for $10. The money will be donated to the National Alliance for Autism Research. * Parking Shuttle -- The Tribe is now offering a Business Day parking shuttle for each weekday afternoon game at Victory Field. Fans may park at IUPUI (lot located at West and Michigan Streets) for just $3 and take advantage of a complimentary shuttle to the ballpark. The shuttle will run continuously from 90 minutes before the game until 30 minutes after the contest.
Thurs., July 10 -- Toledo @ 7:00 p.m. * Ticketmaster Family Night -- Get four box seats, four hot dogs, four sodas, and four Indians Hats for only $52. Visit or call any Ticketmaster outlet for this special offer. This offer not valid at the Victory Field Box Office. * Budweiser 2-for-1 Night -- Fans can pick up a Budweiser 2-for-1 coupon at any Indianapolis area United Package Liquors location.
Fri., July 11 -- Toledo @ 7:15 p.m. * Friday Night Fireworks -- Fans will be treated to a post-game fireworks spectacular courtesy of Coors Light.
Sat., July 12 -- Toledo @ 7:00 p.m. * The Famous Chicken Performs -- One of the most entertaining shows in all of sports makes its only stop at Victory Field this season. The Famous Chicken will perform throughout the game and will be available for autographs. Presented by Clarian Health Partners and Culver's Restaurants. * Charity Hair Cuts -- Great Clips Hair Stylists will be on the concourse giving hair cuts for $10. Sun., July 13 -- Toledo @ 2:00 p.m. * Cooler Giveaway -- It's another Souvenir Sunday at Victory Field as the first 4,000 fans receive an Indians Cooler courtesy of Ivy Tech Community College. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. * Knot Hole Run -- Members of the Community Health/WISH-TV Knot Hole Club are invited to run the bases after the game.
Friday night's Fourth of July contest between the Indians and Bats is sold out. A limited number of standing-room-only tickets will be made available at game time (6 p.m.).
