Kinston Indians News Release

KINSTON - Kinston starting pitcher Hector Rondon is selected to the World Team for the 2008 Futures Game. The 20-year-old, Venezuelan native is tearing it up for the K-Tribe going 5-3 with a 3.45 ERA in 15 starts this season. Rondon is currently third in the Carolina League with 83 strikeouts. After a slow start to the season, Rondon is 3-0 with a 1.23 ERA in four starts this June.

Rondon's World Team will take on the U.S. Team in the All-Star Futures Game at Yankee Stadium as part of Major League Baseball's All-Star celebration on July 13th.
