Hawks Booster Club seeks families to host players this season

BOISE, ID - The Boise Hawks Booster Club offers Treasure Valley families the rare opportunity to host a professional baseball player in their homes this summer. The club's main focus is to provide Hawks players with a family atmosphere during their first season as a professional athlete.

The Hawks will be arriving in mid-June and there's a need for homes for the upcoming season. The players are in Boise for 38 games of a 76 game season. The season runs from June 17 to September 8. If you are interested in becoming a Boise Hawks Host Family or have any questions regarding the Host Family Program, please contact Judy Pierce, Housing Coordinator, at 208-850-6741 or e-mail at clpjap2@yahoo.com.

There will be a Host Family meeting at 7pm, June 4, 2008, at Smoky Mountain Pizza & Grill "The Cellar". The restaurant is located at 980 E. Fairview in Meridian. This meeting will give prospective Host Families the opportunity to learn more about the Boise Hawks Booster Club Host Family Program and to meet and ask questions of current Host Families.

The Hawks continue to prepare for their 22nd season of Northwest League play in 2008. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.
