Fort Wayne, IN 5/8/08 --- The Komets kept their hopes of winning a fifth IHL Turner Cup alive with a 4-2 home win over the Port Huron Icehawks Thursday night at the Memorial Coliseum. The Fort Wayne win forces a game 6 at Port Huron Saturday as the Komets trimmed the Hawk's series lead to 3-2.
Mathieu Curadeau, P.C. Drouin, Brandon Warner and Colin Chaulk each scored for the Komets while Tab Lardner and Jeff Zehr netted goals for the Icehawks.
Komet goalie Nick Boucher posted his third win of the post season making 27 saves on 29 shots. Port Huron's Larry Sterling suffered the loss on 28 saves.
If a seventh game is needed, it will be played on Fort Wayne ice Monday night at 7:30.
