
Revolution Offer Fans Chance To Dine With Former Orioles

(York, Pa): If world competitive eating champion Joey Chestnut can put away 66 hot dogs in just 12 minutes, what kind of damage could you and a former Oriole great do to a buffet if you had two hours? The York Revolution is anxious to find out.
On all Tuesday home dates this season the Revolution will offer fans the chance to have an all-you-can-eat dinner with a former Oriole for the price of 30 dollars apiece, 27 dollars if purchased in advance of the game. This unique event for local Oriole fans to dine with their heroes will begin on May 13 against the Newark Bears, when Joe Orsulak visits Sovereign Bank Stadium. Currently, eight former Orioles are scheduled to appear (schedule and player availability subject to change.) Highlighting the schedule are all-time greats Boog Powell and Davey Johnson, in addition to York Revolution fan favorite Al Bumbry. Scheduled to appear are:

Oriole fans are encouraged to keep an eye on YorkRevolution.com for periodic updates on which Tuesday each player will be appearing, and additional players to be added to Tuesday home games this season. Appearances are always subject to change, including which date each player may appear on. Davey Johnson's status for July 1 is tentative, due to his responsibilities as Manager of the 2008 United States Olympic Baseball Team. The buffets begin at 6 p.m., and last until 8 p.m. in the Bud Light Picnic Pavilion, situated beyond the right field wall at Sovereign Bank Stadium. All-you-can-eat menu options include pulled barbeque chicken, grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, deli salad, baked beans, corn on the cob and dessert.
