Admirals Fans Encouraged to Assist Tornado Relief Efforts at Upcoming Equipment Sale

NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals encourage fans to support the Suffolk tornado relief efforts at the Admirals equipment sale this Saturday, May 3, from 9 a.m. to noon at Meeting Room 2 of Norfolk Scope Arena.

According to published reports, Monday's tornado in Suffolk destroyed 59 buildings, caused major damage to 75 others while 317 buildings experienced minor damage. At least 200 people were injured throughout Virginia during Monday's storms, with Suffolk and the Colonial Heights area near Richmond the two most affected areas.

Monetary donations will be collected at the equipment sale and will go to the Suffolk Chapter of the American Red Cross Disaster Fund. If you cannot attend the sale and would like to make a donation, please mail checks payable to The Suffolk Chapter, American Red Cross Disaster Fund, to P.O. Box 129, Suffolk, VA, 23439.
