Houston Dynamo FC News Release

HOUSTON, TX - A special occasion is on hand this weekend for the Houston Dynamo. Not only will the team return to play at Robertson Stadium for the first time in almost one month, but its players will receive their 2007 MLS Cup championship rings in a pre-game ceremony this Saturday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m.

The Dynamo's back-to-back championship rings were designed by Houston-based Diamond Cutters International with input from team captain Wade Barrett and veteran defender Craig Waibel.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as the first 5,000 people in attendance for Saturday's game will receive a replica championship ring keychain, courtesy of Finger Furniture. Gates at Robertson Stadium will open at 6:00 p.m., 30 minutes earlier than normal.

Pre-game festivities will also include a Cinco de Mayo celebration and an appearance by "American Idol" participant Kady Malloy, a resident of nearby Katy. Malloy will be available for autographs beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Amigo Energy SoccerFest, and she will sing the national anthem shortly before the 7:30 p.m. kickoff.

Saturday's game is the first of a two-game homestand, which will conclude May 10 with the Dynamo facing the Colorado Rapids at 7:30 p.m. For more information, or to purchase tickets, please call the Houston Dynamo at 713-276-7500, or log on to www.houstondynamo.com.
