***Boston Red Sox 3B, and 2007 World Series MVP, Mike Lowell is scheduled to play for the Pawtucket Red Sox this weekend at Dunn Tire Park. Lowell is scheduled to start Saturday (6:05 p.m.) at third base and Sunday (Family Fun Sunday, 1:05 p.m.) as the PawSox' designated hitter***

TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons face the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the final game of a four-game series at PNC Field (7:00 p.m.). The Herd needs a victory tonight to earn a split of the four-game set following the Yankees' 3-1 win last night. This game will also conclude the Bisons' second roadtrip of the season, which began with a three-game series in Pawtucket. The Herd is 2-4 so far on the trip and 5-9 in their first 14 games away from Dunn Tire Park this season. On the mound tonight is LHP Jason Stanford. The long-time Bisons pitcher is back with the club after signing a minor league contact with the Indians yesterday. The Yankees will counter with RHP Steven White.

EIGHT IS GREAT: When LHP Jason Stanford throws his first pitch tonight he will make Bisons history. Stanford is the first player in the Modern Era to play for the team in eight consecutive seasons. The southpaw began his Bisons career with a spot start in 2001 as a Triple-A rookie. His best year with the club came in 2003 as he went 10-4 with a 3.43ERA in 20 starts. In his Buffalo career, Stanford is 25-12 with a 3.54ERA in 72 games. He ranks 1st in the Modern Era in strikeouts (293), 3rd in innings pitched (381.0), 4th in starts (63) and 5th in wins (25). Last year, Stanford was 5-1 with a 4.11ERA in 18 games.

HAVE YOU HERR'D: Infielder Aaron Herr kept his hot stretch at the plate going last night as he singled and scored the team's lone run. Herr has hit in 11 of his last 12 games with a .370 (17-46) batting average. He has six multi-hit games during the stretch as well as 12RBI. On the year, he is 2nd on the Bisons in average (.292) and 1st on the club with 15RBI.

EXTRA-EXTRA: Outfielder Brad Snyder collected another extra-base hit last night when he doubled home a run in the seventh inning. Snyder now has an extra-base hit in three straight games and in five of his last six efforts. Snyder has five doubles, a triple and four homeruns to lead the Bisons team with 10 extra-base hits on the season.

SAME FOES, OUR TURF: Following tonight's game, the Bisons will return home for the start of an eight-game homestand. The stretch will begin with the two teams they faced on this roadtrip. Pawtucket will visit Dunn Tire Park for a two-game series this weekend with the Yankees coming to town on Monday and Tuesday. Buffalo will host Charlotte, May 1-4.
