Oklahoma City Comets News Release
The Oklahoma RedHawks will hold ball girl tryouts March 24th from 6 - 8 p.m. The RedHawks are looking for young women 16 years of age and older willing to field foul balls during all RedHawks' home games. Tryouts will consist of throwing, catching, running and fielding ground balls and line drives. Enthusiasm and energy are also graded.
The Texas Rangers, parent franchise of the RedHawks, hosted their own ball girl tryouts last week selecting only six of twenty women vying for a spot on the field. Ball girls are becoming ever popular among both teams and young women who enjoy baseball.
All ladies interested in being a 2008 RedHawks' Ball Girl can battle for their spot by trying out on March 24th at 6 p.m. All participants must bring proper equipment, including: glove, bat, tennis shoes and work out attire. Entrance to the stadium for tryouts will be available through the deep right gate (Warren Spahn Plaza) located southeast of the stadium on Joe Carter and Reno. For more information or questions about tryouts please contact Mark at 218-1000.
