Washington Wild Things News Release
Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, announced they will be hosting their 3rd annual charity softball tournament June 7 at CONSOL Energy Park.
A Softball Team, composed of members of the Pittsburgh Steelers (past and present) will face members of the Washington Wild Things, all proceeds benefiting Wild Thing Charities.
The Wild Things have hosted several Charity Softball games featuring the Steelers during the past few years when James Harrison, Chris Hoke, Bryant McFadden, Anthony Smith, Deshea Townsend, Nate Washington, Santonio Holmes, and Louis Lipps all participated.
According the Wild Things' front office Josh Loggins, B.J. Borsa, David Bradley, Joe Cuervo, Ryan Douglass, T.J. Graves, and Brad Hensler have all expressed an interest in participating in the game.
"We're really looking forward to this event this year," said Wild Things General Manger Ross Vecchio. "The event has been great every year, but adding former Wild Things' players to the mix will allow our loyal fans a chance to have an even stronger connection to the game. It should be great!"
In addition to what promises to be an entertaining softball game, both softball teams will be available for a free autograph session following the game.
Ticket for the June 7 game will go on sale to the general public on April 19th at CONSOL Energy Park Box Office.
