
Cats Sign Infielder Butler

The Fort Worth Cats have signed infielder Steve Butler to a contract, it was announced today.
Butler, 25, played for South Georgia in the South Coast League in 2007 and batted .276 with two homers and 36 runs batted in and 12 stolen bases. In 79 games total, he spent time at all four infield positions and in the outfield.
He spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons with St. Paul, appearing in 47 games with the Saints in '05 and 55 games in '06, a year in which he hit .254 with 11 runs batted in. A St. Paul native, Butler was a three-year started at Concordia University after attending Apple Valley High School in Minnesota.
