SIOUX FALLS, SD (February 4, 2008) - Next Monday, February 11, the Sioux Falls Canaries will host a "Fun Is Good" seminar, presented by Esurance and Fink Electric, at the Holiday Inn City Center. The seminar will run from 9 a.m. until noon, and will feature methods for creating joy and passion in the workplace.
The event will feature Mike Veeck, an owner of the Canaries, whose "Fun Is Good" philosophy helped revolutionize Minor League Baseball. Veeck's philosophy has led the six minor league baseball teams he owns to the front of the curve on promotional ideas.
"We have put this seminar together so that Mike can share his techniques with business leaders in our community," said Canaries General Manager Matt Hansen. "This seminar will teach managers how to get more productivity out of their employees, show staff members how to enjoy going to work, and help sales people increase their efficiency."
Veeck will be joined at the seminar by Al Fahden. Fahden, a former stand-up comic, is an esteemed author and motivational speaker who has pent more than two decades working with Fortune 500 businesses to increase sales efficiency and morale.
Registration for the seminar costs $50. To sign-up for the seminar or learn more information about it, please contact the Sioux Falls Canaries at (605) 333-0179.
