Spokane Shock News Release
The Spokane Shock announced today that OL Palauni Ma Sun (pronounced PA-LAWNIE MA SOON), 6'6" 315, has been assigned to the team's 2008 roster.
Ma Sun spent two years at University of Oregon where he started in 22 games during the 2005-6 seasons. At left guard, Ma Sun helped anchor the offensive line that averaged 134.3 rushing yards per game in 2005 and helped Jonathan Stewart run for over 1,000 yards in 2006.
Before arriving at Oregon, Ma Sun attended Fresno City Junior College where he was a two-year starter and was named by SuperPrep Magazine as one of the top-10 junior-college lineman in the country. In that same season, he was also named to the JC Grid-Wire first team All-American team.
"We thought Palauni would be in the NFL right now," Head Coach Adam Shackleford said. "I don't know how long he will be on our roster, but for now he is a member of the Spokane Shock and that should get our fans excited to have this caliber of player here."
Ma Sun is the 31st member of the Shock's 2008 roster. A total of 35 players will be brought into training camp that will start in March. Season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (509) 242 7462.
