Cubs Announce New Broadcast Team for 2008 Season

[DAYTONA BEACH, FL] The Daytona Cubs are proud to announce the return of Derek Ingram as the "Voice of the Cubs" in 2008. Two newcomers will join Ingram, the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the upcoming season. Seth Millhoan and Brian Chapman join the Cubs as Co-Assistant Directors of Broadcasting for their first season in professional baseball.

A native of Bowling Green, Mo, Ingram, 26, returns to Daytona for his third season with the Cubs. He was selected to broadcast the 2006 and 2007 Florida State League All-Star Games. "I couldn't be happier to return for my third year in Daytona" Ingram said. "The team we have assembled will give fans a great radio listening experience."

Millhoan, 27, is a 2007 graduate of Northern Kentucky University. He is a native of Jamestown, OH and was a broadcaster for NorthernKentuckySports.com, calling Kentucky high school football and basketball. He also served as a broadcaster for NKU and Thomas More College baseball. He was the sports editor for The Northerner, an on-campus newspaper at NKU. He and his wife Michelle live in Port Orange with their 15-month-old daughter Isabella.

Chapman, 23, hails from Bloomfield Hills, MI and is a 2007 graduate of Penn State University. "I can't believe that I'm starting my career with the Daytona Cubs," Chapman said. "This will be a great opportunity for me and I can't wait to start with Seth and Derek." In Happy Valley, he was the voice of Penn State baseball, football, basketball and volleyball on the student radio station. He also hosted a sports talk show and picked up a journalism award for radio news as a student. During the summer of 2007, Chapman called State College Spikes baseball.

The Cubs are also proud to announce the return of the popular TV show "Inside Daytona Cubs Baseball." Ingram returns as host for the show, while Millhoan and Chapman will produce and report on events going on at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. You can catch the show on WCEU Channel 15 Wednesdays at 11p.m. and Sundays at 6:30 p.m.

Cubs general manager Bill Papierniak is pleased with the broadcast outlook for 2008. "I'm really excited about these guys," said Papierniak when he learned about this season's broadcast team. "They all bring something unique to the table and we look forward to a memorable season."
