
Smith named ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Jeremy Smith of the Plymouth Whalers is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week for the week ending Sunday November 11 after posting three wins with a 1.00 goals against average and .971 save percentage in two starts last week.
Smith, an 18-year-old native of Brownstown, Michigan, started the week with a 37-save shutout performance and was the first star in a 3-0 win over the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors on November 9. He followed up with 31 saves and another first star effort in a 4-2 win over the Guelph Storm on November 10. In nine games this season, Smith, a second round pick of the Nashville predators last June, has a 7-2-0-0 record with a 2.54 goals against average and .933 save percentage.
Michael Maniago of the Lethbridge Hurricanes was the WHL nominee after winning both of his starts last week with a 1.00 goals against average and .952 save percentage and Timo Pielmeier of the St. John's Fog Devils was the QMJHL nominee after a 2-1-1-0 record with a 1.44 goals against average and .954 save percentage.
