Jersey Shore BlueClaws News Release

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws, class- A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have announced that FirstEnergy Park public address announcer Kevin Clark has been hired by the NHL's New Jersey Devils.

He will make his debut on Saturday night when the Devils take on the Ottawa Senators to open their new building, the Prudential Center, in Newark, NJ.

"Kevin is a great announcer and a great person," said General Manager Geoff Brown. "We are extremely proud of this accomplishment and wish him the best of luck."

An original member of the BlueClaws staff, Clark has filled various roles at FirstEnergy Park including official scorer, public address announcer and radio analyst. He also serves as the P.A announcer for the Monmouth University varsity football team.

"To say I'm excited is an understatement. I have worked over 700 games in professional sports and, without a doubt, my most valuable experience has come in my 7 seasons in Lakewood," said Clark. "Thanks to Geoff Brown, Mike Ryan, the game day staff and everyone past and present at the BlueClaws, one of my dreams has come true."

He began as a public address announcer for the New Jersey Cardinals from 1998-2000 before making the move to Lakewood. He has also spent time as the P.A. voice of the ECHL's Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies and Trenton Titans, the AHL's Bridgeport Sound Tigers, and USA Women's Olympic Ice Hockey and National Basketball teams.

The Lakewood BlueClaws have recently announced their 2008 season schedule. Plan your spring with the most affordable professional baseball ticket in New Jersey. Having led the South Atlantic League in attendance each year of operation, in 2007 they became the fastest team in league and New Jersey history to reach the three million fan plateau.
