Suns Return Sunday For Final Homestand

Hagerstown, MD - The Hagerstown Suns final homestand of the season begins Sunday, August 26th with a Family Sunday presented by The Herald-Mail. With a coupon from either Saturday or Sunday's paper, fans can receive 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 popcorns and 4 sodas for only $30. The first 500 fans through the gate will receive a Washington Nationals T-shirt, presented by MASN. Cool 95.9 fm Suns on Sundays will take place prior to the game. Select Suns players will be available to sign autographs. Suns Story Time presented by the Washington County Arts Council and Lite 97.5 fm begins 30 minutes before the first pitch. Kids Run the Bases after the game thanks to Antietam Cable Advertising and Mini Melts Ice Cream.

August 27th is the final Feed Your Face Monday of the season, presented by Ryan's Steakhouse, Efrain's Taqueria, Waffle House, 43 South and WAYZ 104.7 fm. Tickets cost $10 and $13, and include game ticket and all-you-can-eat from the four restaurants and the Suns concessions stands. Monday will also mark "It's Fun to Vote" night. Throughout the game fans will have the opportunity to vote on drink, merchandise and ticket offers. Local voter registry groups will be set up on the concourse with information on proper voting procedures. Gates open one hour before the 7:05 p.m. game.

All seniors over age 60 can take advantage of the last Senior Tuesday of the season on August 28th. Seniors can purchase a general admission ticket to the game for only $2. It is also an Equipped for Life BINGO Tuesday. The Suns will raffle off a community prize basket during Tuesday and Wednesdays games. Local businesses have donated over $1,000 worth of prizes and gift certificates that are included in the basket. Raffle tickets can be purchased for $5, or five tickets can be purchased for $20. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. for this 7:05 p.m. game versus the Delmarva Shorebirds, affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.

August 29th is a Kids Eat Free Wednesday presented by Susquehanna Bank and Lite 97.5 fm. All kids 12 and under purchasing a full-priced ticket at the window will receive a coupon good for a free hot dog, popcorn, drink and candy box. During the seventh inning the Suns will raffle off the community basket. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. and the game begins at 7:05 p.m.

The final Thirsty Thursday of the season will take place on August 30th. Presented by Classic Rock 101.5 fm, domestic drafts cost only $1.25. A Football Kickoff Celebration will take place during the game. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite football team's gear and participate in football skills contests. Ladies Night, presented by Hagerstown Magazine, provides all ladies in attendance with the opportunity to win great prizes throughout the game. Fans can take advantage of $1 programs that feature a pictorial tribute to Mary Ann from Gilligan's Island as a result of her decisive win over Ginger during last week's Mary Ann or Ginger night at the ballpark.

On Friday, August 31st, the Suns will help kick-off the annual United Way Campaign prior to the game. The United Way will be setup in the Hagerstown Trust Plaza and are collecting books for kids' ages five and under as part of their "Born Learning" program. Following the game will be giveaway an RV from Keystone RV as part of a season-long Launch-a-ball promotion. Fans will be able to register throughout the game to fill the final qualifying slot. The night will be capped off by the final Friday night fireworks of the season, presented by The Herald-Mail. Gates open at 6:05 p.m. and the game is scheduled to start at 7:05 p.m.

The final regular season game of the season will begin at 7:05 p.m. on Saturday, September 1st. The first 1,000 fans will receive a mini-bat courtesy of Susquehanna Bank. The Suns will also announce the final total for the Susquehanna Bank Strikeouts for Straight A's promotion. Each Suns strikeout at home this season resulted in five dollars being donated to the Boys & Girls Club after school program. Prior to the game the Suns will hold an on-field ceremony recognizing this year's winner of the HMS Technologies Son or Daughter of a Serviceman Overseas Scholarship. It is Fan Appreciation Day at Municipal Stadium, as well as Christmas in September. Fans will be rewarded for their good behavior all season with prizes and giveaways throughout the game.
