Patton remains perfect at home

August 8, 2007 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1) - Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK - The Troy Patton show continued on Wednesday at The Dell Diamond.

The 21-year-old kept his perfect streak at home alive, picking up his fourth consecutive home win since joining the Express in early July. Patton scatted three hits and fanned four over seven shutout innings in Round Rock's 3-0 win over Salt Lake.

Patton (4-1) has now allowed just three earned runs over 28 innings at home.

Jesse Garcia went 3-for-3 and Humberto Quintero, Cody Ransom and Tim Raines all added a pair of hits in the win.

Round Rock scratched out six hits against Bees starter Jonathon Rouwenhorst, but didn't score until the left-hander was replaced after the sixth.

Facing reliever Aaron Pullin, Jesse Garcia singled to start the bottom of the seventh and moved to second on Beau Torbert's sacrifice bunt. Josh Anderson followed with a fly deep enough to center to put Garcia on third.

Raines then lifted a double to right-centerfield, giving Round Rock the game's first run. Cody Ransom pushed the lead to 2-0 with a single later in the inning.

Round Rock has Thursday off before hitting the road for an eight-game swing through News Orleans and Albuquerque.
