
Sidewinders Take Series In Omaha

Omaha, NE - The Sidewinders scored in six of the first seven innings and cruised to a 9-0 win over the Omaha Royals on Wednesday afternoon. The shutout is Tucson's fifth of the year.
Matt Morgan and Rich Thompson each drove in two runs for the Sidewinders and Matt Erickson went 1-4 to extend his hitting streak to 13.
Yusmeiro Petit, making his return to Tucson after coming down from the Diamondbacks, tossed five innings of shutout baseball and allowed just one hit. Mike Schultz, Randy Choate, Brandon Medders and Jailen Peguero each worked a shutout inning in relief.
The Sidewinders have tomorrow off before returning to Tucson Electric Park to open a four game series with the Fresno Grizzlies on Friday night. First pitch is at 7:00. The game will air live on COOL 1450 beginning at 6:45.
