Manchester, NH - RF Luke Hughes hit two homers, including a game-tying shot with two outs in the top of the seventh inning and New Britain rallied for a 4-3, 8-inning win, completing a sweep of a Saturday day/night doubleheader in Manchester.
C Kyle Geiger and Hughes hit back-to-back homers off Fisher Cat starter Yusaku Iriki in the second inning as New Britain took a 2-0 lead.
Fisher Cat SS Sergio Santos followed a walk to Ryan Patterson with his 17th homer off Rock Cat reliever J. P. Martinez in the third inning to tie the game at 2-2.
Iriki left after six innings, allowing 5 hits and just the 2 runs, walking one and striking out 6 for New Hampshire (54-52). Then on a ground ball by 2B Felix Molina back to Overbey, he went to second to try to start a double play and sailed the throw into centerfield, allowing the winning run to score.
RHP Danny Powers (2-4) pitched three hitless innings in relief to pick up the win for the Rock Cats. RHP Tim Lahey, who had saved the 3-0 win for New Britain in the opener, worked around a single in the 8th to pick up his ninth save.
