Cutters Make Healthy Choice

Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The Williamsport Crosscutters announced that the team will make a change in its Bowman Field concession stands, a healthy change.

Effective opening night, June 19, Historic Bowman Field will make the switch to zero-trans fat oil products used in preparation of some of the more popular concession menu items.

All french fries, chicken tenders and other deep-fried foods will be cooked in a unique product that blends specially formulated oils to provide a flavorful and healthier serving of some ballpark favorites

"We thought it would be a wise choice," said Crosscutters General Manager Doug Estes. "Once we received assurances that the quality of the products would not be affected, eliminating trans fats on these items was the way to go."

Many businesses and restaurants throughout the United States are making this health-conscious decision.

The Cutters open their inaugural season as a Philadelphia Phillies affiliate on June 19 at 7:05pm hosting the rival State College Spikes. For information including the Cutters game and promotional schedule, log on to www.Crosscutters.com or call the Cutters Hotline at (570) 326-3389.
