Montreal Alouettes News Release
The following is the Alouettes' training camp daily report:
Level of practice
The intensity was high in both morning practices at the Stade Haut-Richelieu this morning. There were several solid hits, including a remarkable one coming from running back-turned-linebacker Avon Cobourne. The defensive line was impressive, applying excellent pressure on the offence.
Stala looking good
Receiver Dave Stala came to camp in fine shape. He demonstrated his talent by catching a precise pass in stride, with his hands turned over, facing the ground.
Interception!
Veteran linebacker John Grace made an interception during practice.
Thurman consistent
Veteran receiver Elijah Thurman continues to be consistent, catching many difficult passes.
The waiting game
Defensive back Pascal Masson is still waiting on test results following an ankle injury suffered in his first-ever practice with the Alouettes.
RDS - Jim Popp Special
Producer Jean-Marc Lemay is preparing a special report on General Manager and Head Coach Jim Popp, as cameraman Ãric Harvey followed Jim's every step today.
Rookie songs
Rookies stood on their chairs and sang for Alouette veterans at lunch today - an annual tradition that gives everyone a good laugh.
Tomorrow
The team will practice from 8 a.m. to roughly noon tomorrow. In case of rain, practice will be moved to the Stade Haut-Richelieu.
