NORFOLK, VA - The Norfolk Admirals and Max Media Radio have reached an agreement that will see the Admirals partner with WGH-AM 1310 (ESPN Radio 1310). With the agreement, ESPN Radio 1310 will become the flagship station for Norfolk Admirals hockey through the 2011-12 season, broadcasting all regular season and playoff games as well as the weekly Admirals Hour Talk Show."We are thrilled to expand our relationship with ESPN Radio 1310 and Max Media Radio," said Admirals President Ken Young. "Our association with the Tides and ESPN has been an excellent one, and we are glad to be establishing another strong relationship for the next five seasons of Admirals Hockey. We are delighted that our fans will be able to follow us on a stronger signal and that we will be heard well in all of the Hampton Roads area."

ESPN Radio 1310 serves the entire Hampton Roads area and parts of Northeastern North Carolina. They have broadcast every game of the Admirals' sister club, the Norfolk Tides of the International League, since the start of the 2002 baseball season.

The Admirals will enter their eighth season in the American Hockey League this October.
