LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Devils are participating in various community events throughout the Merrimack Valley during the off-season. Below is a list of past and future events for the Devils.
This past week:
The Devils front office, along with the team's mascot Devil Dawg, participated in the annual TeamWalk for CancerCare, hosted by Lowell General Hospital on Sunday. In its eighth year, the TeamWalk raised nearly $480,000 for the LGH Cancer Center. To see pictures of the event, log on to www.lowelldevilshockey.com.
On Monday, Devils Assistant Coach Kevin Dean attended Community Reader Day at the Greenhalge Elementary School in Lowell. Dean read to various 3rd grade classes throughout the day as a celebrity reader.
Coming Up:
Saturday, May 26th - Spinners Family Fun Run
The Devils Street Team will attend the 2nd annual Lowell Spinners Family Fun Run and BBQ this Saturday at LeLacheur Park in Lowell. New to the event this season, Devil Dawg will be competing in the first New England Mascot Road Race Challenge, featuring a showdown with various mascots from around the region. The mascot race has a 7:00 p.m. start time, while the entire event begins at 5:30 p.m.
Lowell Devils Street Team
The Lowell Devils Street Team is in place and ready to help out with your community event. Consisting of members of the promotional staff, the Street Team will be visiting various charity events, fairs, recreational outings and more. They will be armed with the Devil-mobile, Devils promotional gear and accompanied by Devil Dawg.
