Valach, Toll Among Top Ranked NHL Entry Prospects

KENNEWICK, WA - The Tri-City Americans are proud to announce that defensemen Juraj Valach and Jarrett Toll have been selected as part of the NHL Central Scouting Service's final rankings released today.
Valach, found a spot at 125 on the list of North American skaters that included 50 representatives from the Western Hockey League. The 6'6", 210-pound defenseman from Zvolen, Slovakia recorded seven goals and 30 points in his first season in the WHL. Valach also competed as a member of Team Slovakia at the 2007 IIHF World Junior Championships in Leksand, Sweden.
Toll also made the list, coming in at 157 on the list of North American skaters. The second-year defenseman from Maple Ridge, British Columbia finished the 2006-07 season with nine assists in only 44 games played after suffering a broken jaw in mid-January that sidelined him for over seven weeks.
A list of 210 eligible North Americans skaters, along with 30 North Americans goaltenders was released, along with 175 and 16 European skaters and goaltenders respectively. The NHL Central Scouting Service provides scouting and evaluation of draft-eligible players to NHL member clubs.
