San Antonio Rampage News Release

SAN ANTONIO - Chris Ferraro saw his milestone goal tarnish as the Worcester Sharks sunk their teeth into a 3-2 overtime win at the AT&T Center Thursday night. Ferraro's 200th professional goal eventually gave San Antonio a point in the standings as his ninth goal of the season gave the Rampage a 2-1 advantage.

Don MacLean continued his point streak to 10 games with the Rampage's initial goal only 1:56 into the opening period. MacLean's 30th goal of the season was assisted by Alex Leavitt and Ferraro.

Mathieu Darche evened the score with a little over five minutes left in the second stanza with help from Tom Cavanagh.

With the score tied heading into the closing period, Ferraro put the Rampage back on top with a wrist shot from the right circle over Worcester goaltender Thomas Greiss. Ferraro's third power-play goal of the season at the 9:33 mark was assisted by Keith Yandle and Leavitt.

Graham Mink brought the Sharks back with a shot straight down the middle into the upper right corner and sent the game into overtime.

Just over three minutes into overtime, Brennan Evans held up Yandle at the net which sparked a brawl that landed both Evans and Yandle in the penalty box with roughing minors which meant that the remainder of overtime would be a three-on-three match up. Don MacLean was awarded a slashing penalty which allowed the Sharks to take one extra man for a four-on-three for the final 36 seconds in overtime. As the final seconds wore off the clock and a shootout seemed imminent, Sharks' leading scorer Darche was able to sneak the puck behind Tordjman with .4 seconds left on the board and give Worcester their sixth straight win.
