ALBANY, NY -- Albany River Rats center Keith Aucoin has 62 assists in 56 games, two more than single-season club record of 60 set by John Madden in 1998-99. The record-breaking assist came on a goal by Matt Murley at 7:19 of the second period in the River Rats 8-6 win over the Syracuse Crunch Wednesday night at Times Union Center.

Aucoin had a goal and four assists in the victory over the Crunch to tie a franchise record for most points in one game with five shared by five other players.

"It was a big goal that it happened on, so it was nice," Aucoin said. "That's something I'll wait until the end of the year and look back on. Right now we needed the win."

Aucoin currently ranks fourth in the AHL in scoring with 87 points (25 goals, 62 assists). He has 59 points in his last 36 games to lead the AHL in scoring since December 31.

The River Rats's eight goals were the most by an Albany team since an 8-3 win at Hershey on October 20, 2002.
