LAKEWOOD, N.J. - With the April 5th opener just three weeks away, the Lakewood BlueClaws are offering a way for area businesses, churches, schools, or firehouses to get four free tickets to the BlueClaws game on April 6th as part of Marquee Mania. Anyone that promotes BlueClaws Opening Day on their marquee, takes a picture of it, and emails it in, will be invited to the second game of the season.

"The BlueClaws have become a part of the community's identity," said General Manager Geoff Brown. "We want people to walk down the street, see a marquee, and say 'Let's Go BlueClaws,' and we're happy to reward anyone that helps us reach that goal."

Any outlet with a marquee can participate just by promoting Opening Day. Then, take a picture of the marquee and email it to dgant@blueclaws.com. The business will receive a voucher good for four tickets to the BlueClaws game on April 6th at 7:05 p.m. Fireworks will follow courtesy of Toyota Scion World of Lakewood.

The Lakewood BlueClaws are defending South Atlantic League Champions and open the 2007 season April 5, 2007 at FirstEnergy Park at 6:35 p.m. against the Greensboro Grasshoppers.

The BlueClaws have led the league in attendance every year, adding 448,310 fans in 2006. This season, the BlueClaws will become the fastest team in South Atlantic League and New Jersey baseball history to reach the 3 million fan attendance mark. For tickets or more information call 732-901-7000 or visit the BlueClaws website at www.BlueClaws.com.
