Jimmy Christopher to Broadcast Owlz 2007 Season

The Orem Owlz announce the hiring of veteran broadcaster Jimmy Christopher as the team's Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations. Christopher will call all of the action for the 2007 season on the Owlz' flagship station, 960 AM The Zone.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jimmy to the team," said Owlz GM Zachary Fraser. "We look forward to another fantastic year of great broadcasts from a true professional in the industry."
Christopher, currently the voice of the NBA Development League's Fort Worth Flyers, has also done play-by-play for the Frisco Roughriders (Texas Rangers minor league affiliate), the High Desert Mavericks (San Diego Padres minor league affiliate), the Long Beach State 49ers, the Long Beach City College Vikings and the Austin College Kangaroos, as well as many high schools throughout Texas and California. He has been a studio host for the Dallas Mavericks, host of the San Diego Chargers feature shows, co-host of the Texas Rangers Diamond post-game show, co-host of the Steve Garvey and Company Show, co-host of the Dallas Cowboys pre-game show, and host and producer of "Tribe Line" and "Browns NFL Sunday".
"I am excited to come to Orem and the Pioneer League," said Christopher. "I look forward to this summer and working with a championship organization."
His experience also includes stints as a program director for three radio stations (KNAC Long Beach, Kiss San Antonio and KIKI Honolulu), a sideline reporter for SMU Mustangs football and was a cable TV PBP/color and feature show host/reporter. Christopher has also worked as the Texas Rangers Public Address Announcer.
