Toledo Royal Knights News Release
Toledo, OH. Take a walk on the ice; The ABA Toledo Ice kick off the new season with its home opener on Saturday, December 2nd at 7pm against the defending ABA Champion Rochester RazorSharks. The team will be playing in their new arena, with a new team and a whole new direction. According to Ice owner Chris Dotson, "There is a lot to look forward to with the new Ice. Look for the Ice Breakers coming soon before home games, concerts during halftime, post-game concerts and after parties as well as a wealth of family entertainment, events and activities.
"This is a basketball town and we are focused on bringing that to the forefront," added Dotson. "I am looking forward to our first home game as well as competing for the entire season and making the ABA playoffs. I know that we did not get off to a good start - and that there has been negative publicity. But we are committed to the ABA, we are committed to Toledo - and we are asking for a chance to prove ourselves. This Saturday will be a good start."
