Former American Idol performs at Jam Opening

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 21, 2006)- Kimberly Caldwell, star of American Idol 2 will be performing live at the Bakersfield Jam home opener on Sunday November 26, 2006. Kimberly will sing the National Anthem and will be the feature performer during the halftime festivities.

Kimberly gained national recognition as a finalist on American Idol 2 and currently is an on camera personality for the TV Guide Channel. She co-hosts two weekly talk shows, "Reality Chat" as well as "Idol Tonight," the exclusive pre-show to American Idol on Tuesday evenings. Kimberly also appears as a live red carpet correspondent at several Hollywood award events including the Grammy's, the Academy Awards, the People's Choice Awards, the Emmy's, and the Golden Globes. In addition, she has been a regular guest on the CNN Headline News shows and "Showbiz Tonight," the Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" and "Weekend Live," "MSNBC News Live", The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, Oprah, E!, Extra, and TRL.

The Bakersfield Jam begins their inaugural season of play in the NBA Development League on November 26, 2006 against the Los Angeles D-Fenders. The D-Fenders are owned and operated by the Los Angeles Lakers and play at the Staples Center prior to the Lakers home games. The Jam will host its 24 home games at the 9,600 seat Rabobank Arena (www.rabobankarena.com). Coaching legend Jim Harrick will lead the Jam this season assisted by NBA veteran Ike Austin.
