
Los Angeles Sparks sign Tiffany Stansbury to 7-day contract

EL SEGUNDO, CA- The Los Angeles Sparks have signed Tiffany Stansbury to a 7-day contract, it was announced today by General Manager Penny Toler.
Stansbury, a 6-3 center from North Carolina State, was selected by the Houston Comets in the third round (29th overall) of the 2006 WNBA Draft. She played in three pre-season games where she averaged 4.3 points and 5.7 rebounds.
In two years at NC State, Stansbury averaged 11.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.7 blocks. She ranked seventh for all-time blocks in a career (99), recorded 10 career double-doubles and led the team in scoring, blocks and field goal percentage in both seasons. A two-time All-ACC selection (2005, 2006), Stansbury was also the MVP of the Paradise Jam St. Thomas Division and the St. Peter's Classic tournaments in 2004. She attended Gulf Coast Community College for her freshman and sophomore years.
