(CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas) - Hooks' mascots "Rusty Hook" and "Sammy Seagull" will provide a festive air to this Sunday's book signing event at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, as Reid and Reese Ryan, owners and operators of the Corpus Christi Hooks, will be in Corpus Christi to sign copies of the book "Season to Remember," the full-color publication that chronicles the Hooks' inaugural 2005 season in pictures. The opportunity to meet with Reid and Reese, and Rusty and Sammy, and get your copy of the book signed will take place at Barnes & Noble on Corpus Christi's Southside from 1:00 until 3:00 Sunday afternoon.

The 120-page coffee table-style book, published by the Corpus Christi Caller-Times, has been praised for the quality of the photographs and its general layout. A great display piece for any home, its value as a keepsake can be enhanced by having it signed by the men who were a driving force in bringing affiliated professional baseball back to Corpus Christi for the first time in 46 years.

Barnes & Noble is located at 5129 Blanche Moore in Corpus Christi, just off S.P.I.D. behind Romano's Macaroni Grill.

Toy Drive Reminder

Individuals wishing to make a donation to the Corpus Christi Police Department's "Wishes & Dreams" Toy Drive still have time to help make the holidays special for some in our community that otherwise would go without. Donations of new, unwrapped toys may be made at Hook, Line & Sinker through next Friday, December 16th. Donators will receive a free Hooks' holiday ornament for their generosity. Hook, Line & Sinker is located on the Port Avenue side of Whataburger Field, and is open 10-6 on weekdays and from 11-4 on weekends.

If you are a Hooks' 2006 season ticket holder, you are also reminded that you may stop by Hook, Line & Sinker anytime during store hours to pick up your free Hooks' holiday ornament. It's our way of saying thanks for your support!
