San Bernardino, CA. - The Inland Empire 66ers are looking to fill the following positions for the 2005 season:
MASCOT (Tryouts February 23rd from 5 PM â 7 PM)
The 66ers are looking for a fun, extroverted, creative, energetic, athletic, people-friendly performer to serve as our mascot. Our mascot performs at each of the 66ers 70 home games. Mascot must be available for all home games, as well as public appearances with prior notice (i.e., schools, youth sporting events, etc). The 66ers will host tryouts for our mascot position at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino on Wednesday, February 23 from 5-7PM. DIRECTOR OF ENTERTAINMENT
The 66ers are searching for a creative, organized, outgoing person with a positive attitude to serve as our new Director of Entertainment. Our successful candidate will coordinate all on-field promotional and entertainment events during the 66ers home games. This person must be comfortable in front of large crowds, be able to work well with players, coaches, umpires, fans and front office staff, have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment and be willing to offer ideas and suggestions. CLUBHOUSE MANAGER
This person will be responsible for the upkeep of home and visiting clubhouses, umpires' room and dugouts. The clubhouse manager's other duties include daily laundry of the 66ers' uniforms, arranging the post-game food spread and other errands as needed. This person also serves as a liaison to the front office, so the ability to work well with all levels of management (66ers front office, coaching staff, players, Seattle Mariners, visiting team) is essential. Must be available to travel and often times stay overnight in other cities. The starting date for the Clubhouse Manager will be on or around April 1 and will continue through mid-September. NATIONAL ANTHEM SINGERS (Tryouts February 23rd from 4 PM â 6 PM)
The 66ers will host open auditions for national anthem singers on Wednesday, February 23 from 4 PM â 6 PM. The tryouts will take place at Arrowhead Credit Union Park in San Bernardino at 280 S. E St. We ask that all singers enter at the third base gate. Solo artists, choirs and instrumentalists are welcome. Please be prepared to sing the anthem acapella. No advance application is necessary.
GROUP SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
This person will be responsible for selling new and renewing group packages. Our candidate must be energetic, enthusiastic and have strong planning and organizational skills. This individual must be able to work effectively on an individual basis and within a team framework, handle multiple projects, meet deadlines and achieve objectives. Candidate must have strong communications skills, both verbal and written. GAME-DAY STAFF
Positions are also available for ticket takers, concessions staff, stadium attendants, ushers, parking lot attendants, merchandise clerks, fun zone staff, game day receptionist and ticket office staff. Applicants must be at least 16 years old (a work permit is required if you are under 18 years old from your school), have a valid driver's license, state ID or student ID and a Social Security card. Applicants must have dependable transportation and be able to work many home games from April through September.
