Yes, Rupert is coming back to GMC Stadium. The Gateway Grizzlies and The Schwan Food Company will host Rupert Boneham on August 11, 2004.
Rupert, arguably Survivor's most popular contestant proved his reputation as a GMC Stadium record crowd of 7,459 turned out to the stadium to see him on June 16th.
Rupert took part in "Survivor" Pearl Island and "Survivor" All-Stars. He was later voted by the Tribal Council and awarded a one million dollar prize.
Rupert will address the crowd as well as throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the 7:05 p.m. game against the Rockford RiverHawks.
All contests and activities throughout the night will be based around Rupert, including a Rupert look a like contest.
Grizzlies staff will wear special tie-dye shirts in honor of Rupert's most notable wardrobe piece.
Tickets are currently on sale and are available by calling the Grizzlies at 618-337-3000 or visiting the GMC Stadium box office. Fans can also purchase tickets online at www.gatewaygrizzlies.com.
