Syracuse, NY- The Syracuse SkyChiefs announced today that Infielder Howie Clark has been recalled by the Toronto Blue Jays. To make room for Clark on the roster Outfielder Chad Hermansen has been optioned to Syracuse.
Clark has appeared in 11 games for the SkyChiefs and was hitting .188 with one homerun and two runs batted in. He leads all Syracuse hitters with 10 walks.
Hermansen, who started the season in Syracuse, was 0-7 in 4 games for the Blue Jays this season. For the SkyChiefs Hermansen is batting .368 with two homeruns and six runs batted in.
