Port Huron, MI â The Port Huron Beacons of the United Hockey League (UHL) announce that Jason Firth is the all-time leading point scorer for the UHL.
Firth, 32 year-old from Halifax, Nova Scotia, started playing in the UHL/COL (Colonial Hockey League) back in 1992 with the Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks. He is currently in his tenth season with the UHL.
Firth, a member of the Inaugural Season Beacons, earned his 1045 UHL point in Richmond, Virginia on Tuesday, February 24th in the Beacons 5-1 victory over the RiverDogs. He earned the record breaking point on his 17th goal of the season at 8:58 of the third period. Firth had a total of three points (a goal and two assists) in the game on Tuesday. With his record-breaking goal, Firth moved ahead of UHL great Paul Pollilo for the all-time UHL point leader title.
