
Firth eclipses all-time UHL points record

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Wednesday that Port Huron Beacons center Jason Firth is the new all-time UHL points-leader.
Firth registered three points (1g, 2a) in Tuesday's 5-1 victory over the Richmond RiverDogs to take over the league lead with 1,045 UHL points (344g, 701a), surpassing Paul Polillo's old mark of 1,044 (325g, 719a).
The 32-year-old Halifax, Nova Scotia native is in his 10th UHL season and second with the Beacons. Firth garnered three league MVP awards (1992-93, 1997-98 and 1998-99) and was named 1993 UHL Rookie of the Year following his first professional season.
