Spitfires Announce 2008-2009 Commemorative Yearbook/DVD for Sale!

July 2, 2009 - The Windsor Spitfires today announced that advance orders are now being accepted for "Dream Season", a limited edition Yearbook/DVD combination that commemorates the team's 2008-2009 season.

The Yearbook is an 84-page publication that chronicles the championship year, from opening night at the Barn right through to the OHL playoffs and the team's first ever Memorial Cup win. With full-page colour photos, player profiles and statistics, articles on the regular season, the playoffs, the Memorial Cup and much more, fans can relive all the excitement of this historic season. It is sure to be a keepsake that Spitfires fans will treasure for years to come.

The DVD is a 60-minute documentary of the 2008-2009 season, packed with game highlights, behind-the-scenes moments, and key insights from the players, coaches, fans and broadcasters. It also features exclusive interviews with Hockey Night in Canada's Don Cherry (a former Spitfire) and Ron McLean, plus special extras for Spitfires fans.

"Dream Season" was designed and produced by Hargreaves Stewart, the team's marketing agency, and by Suede Productions, a Windsor-based video production firm.

"We felt that our fans should have something to help them relive the excitement of this incredible year," said Bob Boughner, Head Coach and President of the team. "And we wanted to do it right - something worthy of a great season. We think our fans will agree that we've hit the mark with ‘Dream Season'."

The price for the combined Yearbook/DVD is $34.99. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Windsor Spitfires Foundation.

Fans can order their copy of "Dream Season" through the Spitfires online store at windsorspitfires.com. It will also be available for sale at the team's retail outlet at the WFCU Centre (Blades Pro Shop) starting in mid-July. Fans ordering online should allow 4-5 weeks for delivery. Shipping charges may apply.
