Storm Adds Goaltender Eric Dop from NAHL

October 24, 2016 - Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm has acquired goaltender Eric Dop from Minot of the NAHL, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Monday. Dop, 18, played in five games this season for Minot, accumulating a 3-2-0-0 record, a 1.81 goals against average, a .945 save percentage and a shutout. Committed the Bowling Green State University, the native of Lewis Center, Ohio starred for the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets in 2015-16. In 18 games, Dop had the best goals against average (1.47) ... October 17, 2016 - Kearney, Neb. - Tri-City Storm defenseman Philip Alftberg was named CCM Defenseman of the Week, the USHL announced Monday. Alftberg leads league defensemen with seven points and is tied for second among blueliners with five assists. In two weekend wins, the 19-year-old scored two goals and four points. October 17, 2016 - The Tri-City Storm embarks on its second-ever fall "bye week", a 13-day break, after sweeping Storm Fights Cancer Weekend.
