
Zumwalt promoted to Nashville

Huntsville, AL- The Milwaukee Brewers have announced that pitcher Alec Zumwalt has been promoted from Huntsville to Triple-A Nashville of the Pacific Coast League. Zumwalt pitched out of the bullpen for the Stars compiling a 1-2 record with three saves in 28 appearances.
Zumwalt, in his fourth season of professional baseball, was acquired by Milwaukee from the Atlanta Braves along with pitcher Jose Capellan in exchange for pitcher Dan Kolb on December 13, 2004.
Originally drafted out of high school as an outfielder he was converted to a pitcher in 2002 and has pitched in relief since.
The Stars roster now stands at 22 active players.
