The Eastern Conference Finals started with a bang as the Florida Everblades knocked off the Reading Royals, 1-0 at Teco Arena in Estero, Florida. Reggie Berg accounted for the only tally just 1:01 into the final period. The assists went to Tom Buckley and Ryan Brindley on the only marker of thegame.
Rob Zepp (6-0) was spectacular in net for Florida stopping a postseason high 45 shots to post his first shutout. Reading set postseason bests for shots for (45) and shots against (20) in the Kelly Cup Playoffs.
Game two of the Eastern Conference Finals will be played at Teco Arena on Friday, April 30 at 7:30 p.m. Catch all the action via the Royals website by clicking on the ESPN radio logo on the home page beginning at 7:00 p.m.
