(York, PA. - July 17, 2012) - The Bridgeport Bluefish (3-2, 34-41) suffered a 10-0 loss at the hands of the York Revolution (1-4, 37-38) at Sovereign Bank Stadium on Monday. Bridgeport is now 5-7 against York this season.

Bridgeport's Luis Lopez is eight hits shy of 2,100 for his professional career after picking up singles off the left field wall in the second and sixth frames. Eddie Rogers and Brock Peterson produced two hits each for the road team on Tuesday. Peterson extended his on-base streak to eleven in a row with a double down the left field line in the fourth. Luis Rodriguez collected the only other hit for the losing side.

York scored five runs in the second inning, three more in the fourth, one in the fifth and another in the seventh. The Revolution batted around in the second inning and nine of the ten runs scored with two outs.

Liu Rodriguez collected two hits and drove in four for the winning side. Jeff Fiorentino and James Shanks reached base twice and scored twice. Shanks hit a solo homer to left in the fifth. Scott Grimes finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI while Chris Nowak blasted a homer to left in the seventh. Danny Gonzalez contributed two hits while scoring a run and driving in one.

Bluefish hurler, Chris Hayes (0-3), suffered the loss as the righthander completed three-and-two-thirds innings while allowing eight runs on nine hits and two walks. The starter fanned three Revolution hitters. Mike Tarsi came out of the bullpen and surrendered two solo homers in three-and-a-third frames while striking out three. Matt Pike allowed a hit and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Revolution starter, Chris Waters (2-2), earned the victory as the southpaw worked five innings of three hit, one walk, and six strikeout baseball. Yunior Novoa provided three shutout innings while giving up four hits and fanning two. Bridgeport struck out twice ninth, without scoring, against Ricardo Gomez.

Bridgeport continues a four game series against the York Revolution on Wednesday Morning. First pitch is slated for 11:05 AM. Bridgeport will send lefthanded pitcher, Paul Oseguera (5-2, 2.73 ERA), to the hill against York southpaw starter Chris Cody (4-10, 4.70 ERA). The pre-game show airs twenty minutes before each first pitch.
