Yellow Horn Named BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week

Calgary - The BOSTON PIZZA WHL Player of the Week is forward Colton Yellow Horn of the Tri-City Americans.

Yellow Horn earned player of the week honours by recording three goals and four points in two games during the week of January 15th to January 21st, helping the Americans to two wins in that span.

On Friday, January 19th, Yellow Horn scored two goals and added an assist, and boasted a +2 rating to lead the Americans to a 7-3 road victory over U.S. Division rivals the Portland Winter Hawks.

On Saturday, January 20th, Yellow Horn scored a goal in regulation and notched the winning goal in a shootout to lead the Americans to a 3-2 home ice victory over the WHL-leading Everett Silvertips. He was also named the game's 1st Star.

Yellow Horn is currently riding a six-game point streak, and has climbed to seventh in League scoring.

The 19-year-old product of Brocket, AB, is in his fourth season in the WHL, and is a Free Agent.

The WHL has also nominated Tyler Plante of the Brandon Wheat Kings for the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week award.
