THE SETUP

The Dorados (3-4) return home for just their third home game of the regular season. They face the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz (2-5) for the only time this season.

LAST WEEK'S QUICK RECAP

RGV defeated the Central Valley Coyotes 57-39 last Saturday night in Fresno, Cal. The win, coupled with Corpus Christi's loss at South Georgia, pushed RGV into a four-way tie for the Southwest Division lead. The Dorados outscored the Coyotes 20-0 in the final stanza, led by Jermaine Carpenter's two TDs. Travis Cole tossed eight TDs, matching his season-high set in the season-opener. Cole threw TDs to four receivers. Eddie Jackson led all receivers with three TDs on five catches for 64 yards.

Oklahoma City improved to 2-5 last week with a 62-56 win over Iowa after losing five straight. The Dawgz were outscored 28-14 in the final 15 minutes but held on for the win. Evan Gray passed for 268 yards and five TDs and added a rushing TD. His favorite target was Keaton Graham, who reeled in six catches for 129 yards and three TDs.

Rio is tied with Bossier, Austin and Corpus Christi with 3-4 records in the Southwest Division...Rio would place behind all three teams based on af2 tiebreaking procedures if the season ended today...The Dorados have the fifth-best pass offense in the league (249.9 YPG) while OKC is 27th (189.9 YPG)...Rio has the 17th-best pass defense (222.6) and is sixth with 12 interception returns. OKC has allowed 15 picks, the fourth-most in the league while allowing the second-most passing yards per game(260)...RGV's Travis Cole is third in the league with 42 offensive TDs...His 1871 total offensive yards in second-most...OKC's Donta Bright and Al Hunt each have a pair of kick return TDs...Bright also has a MFG TD...The Dorados have allowed four kick return TDs, including one vs. Central Valley last Saturday...They've also given up a MFG TD.

THE SERIES

This is the ninth all-time meeting between the teams and the first since June 23 of last season...OKC has a 5-3 series lead...The Dorados have not traveled to OKC since June 3, 2006...The teams played multiple times per season until the 2007 campaign.
